REACH and Chemical Safety Assessments

The course is designed for anyone who must make Chemical Safety Assessments (CSA) for substances in connection with registration or for preparations.

REACH requires a CSA for all substances produced or imported in quantities above 10 tons per producer, and this CSA will form part of the documentation at registration.

For substances, which must be classified as dangerous, an exposure scenario must be made for the applications known to the producer and informed by the downstream user.

During the course we will introduce the requirements to format and contents of the Chemical Safety Assessment and the Chemical Safety Report.

You will get a thorough review of scope and requirements to the assessment of risks for humans and the environment, including determination of DNEL and PNEC as well as PBT and vPvB assessments. Furthermore, we will cover the method, theory and preparation of exposure scenarios.

The course can be expanded with a one-day workshop at your company where it will be possible to work on your own scenarios. The exact programme of the workshop will be arranged in cooperation between you and the course manager.
