Quality data on environmental parameters affecting the hydrodynamic loading
are essential for design and reassessments of offshore facilities. Hindcast
or field measurements are the common methodologies applied to derive
environmental data for design and operation of offshore installations.
DHI’s Mike 21 suite of numerical models includes the hydrodynamic (HD)
module for water levels and current predictions together with the 2nd and
3rd generation of wind-wave hindcast models (OSW). Mike 21 constitutes a
proven tool for determining design and operational data and has been used
in a large number of hindcast studies around the world.
